The Police Officers of the Blytheville Police Department are professional men and women who are a part of a complex legal system. They work in a diverse ever changing challenging social climate that requires both strength and compassion. Law Enforcement is not for everyone. While the risks are great the rewards can be greater. The hiring process can take several months to complete. Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, 21 years of age, possess a high school diploma or GED. Applicants must have a clear background and be of good character. You will be required to complete a Physical Ability assessment, communication skills assessment and police aptitude exam. You will also be required to submit to a polygraph examination as well as a Physical and Psychological examination.

Certified Applicants are not required to undergo the Physical Fitness Ability / Agility or Written Police Officer Examination Test.
