1. What are the City’s methods of payment?

Payments are received in the form of cash, money orders,
debit and credit card payments.  Visa,
MasterCard, Discover and American Express are accepted.  Checks are accepted with some exceptions.

2. Can I pay tickets and fines online?

Currently, payments are received in person or via the phone
(870-763-8333).  The City of Blytheville
does not have online payment capabilities at this time.

3. How do I acquire a city trash can?

Trash cans are purchased at the collector’s office located
at 124 W Walnut Street.  Cost of the
trash can is $59.03.  Cans are delivered
the next business day after receipt of payment.

4. When is my trash picked up?

Please contact Public Works at 870-763-7381 for the
sanitation schedule.

5. Do I return the trash receptacle when I move?

No.  Once you purchase
the receptacle, it belongs it you. 

6. Where do I pay my property taxes?

Property taxes are paid to Mississippi County.  The County Collector’s office is
870-763-6841.

7. Where do I assess my vehicles and personal property?

You can assess your vehicles at the County Assessor’s
Office.  Their phone number is

8. When is fine review day?

Fines are reviewed by the District Judge on each 3^rd
Wednesday of the month.

9. What is the minimum payment due on my fines?

If you have been authorized a payment plan through the court
system; then, your minimum payment is $50.00 unless otherwise instructed by the
Judge.

10. What happens when I don’t meet the terms of my payment arrangement?

If you fail to make timely payments; then, you will receive
a warrant for failure to make payments.

11. How do I clear up a warrant?

In the event of failure to make payment, a person can do one
of two things.  One, pay the fine in full
and take receipt to the District Court Clerk’s Office to release the
warrant.  Two, go to the District Court
Clerk’s office to get on the docket to address the warrant with the judge.

12. What happens if I miss a court date?

A failure to appear warrant will be issued.  To address the warrant, one must request to
be put on the docket to address the warrant with the Judge.  The District Court Clerk office is
870-763-7381.  They can schedule a court
date for you.

13. Can I extend my court date on a traffic violation?

An individual can extend a court date once by contacting the
District Court Clerk’s office at 870-763-7381.
